  • Geez, I had one of these in the highly appealing shit brown color. I had totally forgotten about that car. I got rid of it when the transmission went bad, and I could read the writing on the wall. Replaced it with a Windstar. That was a dog, with transmission problems, too. And my ex-wife couldn't figure out where the car ended and the rest of the world began, so every 6 months I got to remind myself of the $500 deductible. Fun times.

  • >Describes the 100 hp/135 lb-ft 1994 Dodge Caravan as "grossly underpowered for a 7 seater" at 8:47 or thereabouts Meanwhile, us Indonesians makes do with a 1.0 liter three pot-powered 7-seater MPV since 2004 that made almost 70 hp. And it's rear-wheel drive, so God knows how much power (or lack thereof) is made at the wheels.

  • These remind me a lot, for some reason, of the mid to late 90s Rover cars we had over here in the UK; there's nothing fundamentally wrong with a car like that, rust will probably take most of them if they're not crashed before that can happen, but it's a car of a time we remember but don't know enough to completely forget. I was born in 1994, that sort of halfway house being the new generation and stuck in the past, it was a weird time but stuff from that era seems to sit of it's own accord. I feel that represents a lot of the cars from then as well. Different for a reason, yes, but someone wants one. Someone has one they're trying to get rid off. And someone will never even think about one. But for the ones that do, the early 20 somethings taking fresh steps or the late 30 somethings taking their third kid home, it's a resource that's dependable, if deplorable.

  • This review makes me feel like I understand the experience and asthetic of a 3-4 child, divorce-ridden, rural-area, overwhelmingly conservative family with a sub 60k household income from the Midwestern US in the mid 2000s, despite being Canadian, urban, and hardly remembering the time period. RCR is a storyteller.

  • These were great vans, I used to have the last year of the first gen, with the Mopar 3.3L, fastest I ever went was 95mph (down hill), of course it was a K-car pos, I replaced most of the powertrain before 120,000 miles, but I can say it'll ride around with only 5 cylinders without too much complaint. I drove it as a weekend cruiser/backup car until 2015 when the wiring was just completely done and irreparable, it had 195,000 on the clock.

  • I' ve never been in United States, and probably I will never visit your country in this life. My question is- is it true that your country is deeply broken beyond repair? Do left you tube media have a point showing extreme poverty on the streets claiming USA is the worst first world country ? Or has it always been a case? What are your honest opinions about that?

But fucking hell, there's real, then there's THIS level of "not talking to your dad ever since THAT incident" kind of vein-snipping-temptation-inciting emo erotica.... i think i'm getting to the other side of my RCR habit.
